Job Description
AETERNA Inspection & Technical Services is seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Lead to oversee quality assurance and quality control programs across multi-country inspection projects. This role involves leading QA/QC teams, developing project-specific quality plans, and driving certification audits for international clients across the Middle East and beyond.
The successful candidate will conduct inspections of fabricated structural steel elements, concrete reinforcement, formwork, and finished concrete works. You will review material certifications, maintain inspection records, and coordinate with project quality teams to ensure construction quality meets requirements.
This role requires a structural inspection professional with extensive experience in building and infrastructure projects who can deliver thorough quality verification services.
As a senior leader, you will also contribute to business development by providing quality expertise during proposal preparation, support client relationships through quality assurance activities, and Participate in project quality meetings and contribute to quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect structural steel fabrication and erection to AISC and AWS standards
- Inspect concrete works including reinforcement, formwork, and finished concrete to ACI standards
- Verify material certifications and traceability for structural components
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain comprehensive quality records
- Review structural shop drawings and erection procedures for compliance
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project quality teams
- Conduct welder and welding procedure qualifications for structural connections
- Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and witness NDT of structural elements
- Identify non-conformances and verify corrective actions
- Participate in project quality meetings and contribute to quality improvement
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of structural inspection experience in building and infrastructure projects
- CSWIP or AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification for structural steel inspection
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification (Grade 1 preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of structural codes: AISC, AWS D1.1, ACI 318, and relevant ASTM standards
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection processes
- Experience with reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete inspection
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous
- Valid driving license and willingness to work at construction sites
