Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Integrity Engineer to manage and optimize pipeline integrity programs for oil, gas, and water transmission networks across multiple countries in the Middle East region. The successful candidate will analyze in-line inspection data, conduct corrosion assessments, perform cathodic protection surveys, and develop risk-based inspection plans aligned with API 1160 and ASME B31.8S standards. This role demands an analytical professional who can integrate field data with engineering analysis to provide actionable integrity decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze in-line inspection (ILI) data to identify anomalies, corrosion features, and integrity threats across pipeline networks
- Conduct external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA) per NACE SP0502 and internal corrosion assessments per API 580 methodology
- Perform cathodic protection surveys including close interval potential surveys (CIPS) and DCVG surveys for pipeline systems
- Develop risk-based inspection (RBI) plans per API 580/581 and pipeline integrity management plans per API 1160 requirements
- Evaluate fitness-for-service conditions using API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 methodologies for corroded and damaged pipeline segments
- Prepare technical reports, repair recommendations, and regulatory compliance documentation for pipeline integrity programs
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering with Master's degree preferred for this technical role
- Minimum 7 years of pipeline integrity engineering experience in oil & gas transmission or pipeline operations sectors
- In-depth knowledge of API 1160, ASME B31.8S, API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, and NACE corrosion standards and practices
- Proven experience with ILI data analysis software and pipeline integrity management information systems
- Strong proficiency in cathodic protection design, survey interpretation, and CP criteria evaluation per NACE standards
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent with willingness to travel across multiple countries
