Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marine Surveyor to conduct comprehensive structural assessments, corrosion protection evaluations, and safety-critical inspections on offshore platforms, FPSO vessels, and marine facilities across the Middle East region. The successful candidate will assess topside and subsea structural integrity, evaluate cathodic protection and coating systems, and ensure compliance with classification society rules and international maritime conventions. This role demands a surveyor capable of operating effectively in harsh offshore environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural integrity assessments of offshore platform jackets, topsides, and subsea structures per classification requirements
- Evaluate corrosion protection systems including cathodic protection effectiveness, coating condition surveys, and anode assessments
- Inspect hull structures, ballast tanks, and mooring systems on FPSO and FSO vessels per class society rules and flag state regulations
- Perform close visual inspections and ultrasonic thickness measurements on structural steel, piping, and critical marine components
- Prepare detailed marine inspection reports with comprehensive photographic documentation, deficiency rankings, and repair recommendations
- Verify compliance with OCIMF, SIGTTO, and SMMG guidelines for tanker and offshore terminal operations and inspections
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of marine inspection experience in offshore oil & gas or maritime industries with proven track record
- Thorough knowledge of classification society rules (DNV, Lloyd's, BV, ABS) and international flag state regulations
- Extensive experience with FPSO, FSO, fixed platform, and jack-up rig structural inspection and integrity assessment
- Valid BOSIET/HUET offshore safety certification with valid offshore medical certificate and extended rotation capability
- Familiarity with OCIMF inspection requirements and SIGTTO guidelines with professional certifications preferred
