Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Safety Auditor to support our HSE department in conducting workplace safety inspections, behavioral safety observations, and health and safety compliance audits. Under the supervision of senior HSE professionals, you will assist in identifying hazards, monitoring corrective actions, promoting safety awareness, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our occupational health and safety management system aligned with ISO 45001.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and hazard identification walks across active project sites and workshops
- Assist in behavioral safety observation programs by documenting unsafe acts and reinforcing safe work practices
- Support internal HSE audits by preparing checklists, gathering evidence, and recording findings
- Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems, LOTO procedures, and safe work practices during site operations
- Assist in incident investigations by collecting data, taking photographs, and preparing initial reports
- Maintain HSE records including inspection logs, training matrices, and safety meeting minutes
Qualifications & Requirements
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HSE support roles within construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors
- Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety management system requirements
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies including job safety analysis (JSA) and hazard identification
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent safety training certification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage workers at all levels
