Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Inspection Engineer to assist senior inspectors in performing visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical equipment and piping systems across various project sites. The successful candidate will support inspection planning, documentation, and reporting while gaining hands-on experience with industry standards and quality control procedures. This role offers a structured pathway for professional growth within a leading TPI organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior inspectors in conducting visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical equipment, pressure vessels, and piping systems
- Support the preparation and review of inspection test plans (ITPs) and quality documentation packages
- Perform material receiving inspections and verify material certificates against project specifications
- Document inspection findings and prepare preliminary inspection reports for senior review
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure inspection schedules are maintained and resources are allocated
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure all tools are calibrated and within certification validity
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in inspection, quality control, or mechanical engineering roles
- Basic knowledge of ASME, ASTM, and API standards and inspection methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to technical detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with inspection documentation software
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
