Job Description
AETERNA Inspection & Technical Services is seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Lead to oversee quality assurance and quality control programs across multi-country inspection projects. This role involves leading QA/QC teams, developing project-specific quality plans, and driving certification audits for international clients across the Middle East and beyond.
The successful candidate will conduct inspections of all civil engineering activities, from site preparation and earthworks through to final finishes. You will review material submittals, maintain inspection records, and coordinate with project teams to ensure construction quality meets project requirements.
This position requires a civil inspection professional with broad experience in infrastructure projects who can deliver thorough and independent quality verification services.
As a senior leader, you will also contribute to business development by providing quality expertise during proposal preparation, support client relationships through quality assurance activities, and Participate in progress meetings and contribute to quality management.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect earthworks including excavation, backfill, and compaction testing
- Inspect concrete works including formwork, reinforcement, pouring, and curing
- Inspect roadworks including base course, asphalt laying, and paving operations
- Inspect utility installations including drainage, water supply, and electrical ducts
- Verify material certifications and conduct surveillance of material testing
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance
- Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain detailed quality records
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project quality teams
- Identify non-conformances and verify implementation of corrective actions
- Participate in progress meetings and contribute to quality management
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of civil inspection experience in infrastructure or building projects
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Thorough knowledge of civil construction standards: ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and local authority standards
- Experience with earthworks, concrete, roadworks, and utility infrastructure inspection
- Strong understanding of material testing requirements and laboratory procedures
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills
- Good communication skills for coordination with diverse project stakeholders
- Valid driving license and willingness to work at construction sites
