Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated HSE Safety Inspector to ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance across all AETERNA inspection and project sites in the UAE and Middle East region. The successful candidate will conduct thorough safety inspections, perform hazard assessments, monitor compliance with HSE regulations, and provide expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies. This role demands a proactive professional committed to fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections of work sites, equipment, and facilities to identify potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Perform comprehensive job hazard analyses (JHA) and risk assessments for all project activities and operational tasks
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, preparing detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective recommendations
  • Monitor compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and applicable UAE and international safety regulations
  • Deliver safety induction training, toolbox talks, and specialized HSE training programs for project personnel at all levels
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and verify that first aid and fire-fighting equipment are fully operational across all sites

Qualifications & Requirements

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is mandatory for this position
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE inspection experience in oil & gas, construction, or heavy industrial sectors
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, and local UAE HSE regulatory requirements and standards
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies including HAZID, HAZOP, and job safety analysis techniques
  • Strong incident investigation skills with formal training in root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification with additional fire safety or confined space entry certifications preferred
