Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire & Safety Inspector to conduct comprehensive inspections of fire detection systems, fixed firefighting installations, passive fire protection elements, and emergency safety systems across industrial facilities and critical infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will verify compliance with NFPA standards, UAE civil defense requirements, and project-specific fire safety strategies, ensuring facilities are fully prepared to protect personnel and assets from fire-related hazards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect fire detection and alarm systems including smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, and fire alarm control panels
• Verify fixed firefighting installations including sprinkler systems, fire water networks, hydrants, and deluge systems per NFPA standards
• Evaluate passive fire protection elements including fire-rated walls, floors, penetrations seals, and structural steel fireproofing
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) for fire protection equipment and verify compliance with design specifications and codes
• Conduct phased inspections during construction and periodic in-service inspections for ongoing facility compliance
• Prepare detailed fire safety inspection reports with deficiency rankings, remediation priorities, and compliance recommendations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years of fire safety inspection experience in industrial, oil & gas, or large commercial facility environments
• Thorough knowledge of NFPA standards (13, 14, 20, 24, 25, 72), UAE civil defense regulations, and international fire codes
• Proven experience with fire detection systems, fixed firefighting installations, and passive fire protection inspection methods
• Strong proficiency in conducting fire safety assessments, preparing deficiency reports, and recommending corrective actions
• Valid NEBOSH Fire Certificate or CFPS certification preferred with excellent report writing and documentation skills
