Role Overview
AETERNA Inspection & Technical Services is seeking an experienced Expediting Specialist to join our Dubai team. This role involves coordinating supplier deliveries, tracking fabrication progress, and managing equipment delivery coordination for oil and gas projects across the region. You will monitor vendor manufacturing schedules, conduct factory inspections, and ensure timely delivery of critical equipment and materials in compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor vendor manufacturing progress against approved production schedules and delivery milestones for critical equipment
- Conduct factory inspections to verify production quality, material compliance, and workmanship standards
- Track order status from purchase order placement through manufacturing, testing, and shipment release
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with photographic documentation for client updates and stakeholder communication
- Identify potential delivery delays early and implement corrective actions with vendors to maintain project schedules
- Coordinate with shipping agents and logistics providers for transportation scheduling and documentation compliance
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of expediting experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or construction industries
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for mechanical equipment, piping, and structural materials
- Experience with production tracking systems, expediting databases, and progress reporting tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for vendor coordination and issue resolution
- Willingness to travel extensively to vendor facilities across the Middle East and Asia
