Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction QC Inspector to oversee quality control for major construction projects across Dubai and the UAE. The successful candidate will manage material receipt inspection, verify installation compliance against approved drawings and specifications, maintain Inspection and Test Plan hold-points, and compile comprehensive mechanical completion documentation packages. This role requires a QC professional who can coordinate effectively with multiple contractors while maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout all construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect material receipt and verify material certificates, traceability documentation, and compliance with project specifications
- Monitor construction activities to ensure full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable international codes
- Manage ITP hold-points and witness-points, coordinating inspections with client representatives and contractor quality teams
- Document non-conformances, initiate NCRs, and track corrective actions through to successful closure and verification
- Compile mechanical completion documentation packages including test reports, material certificates, and as-built records
- Coordinate NDT activities and witness testing procedures including hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum 6 years of construction QC inspection experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Thorough knowledge of ASME, API, ACI, and ASTM standards applicable to construction quality inspection
- Proven experience managing ITPs, NCR processes, and mechanical completion documentation packages for project handover
- Strong understanding of welding inspection, NDT methods, and material testing requirements for construction quality
- Excellent documentation and report writing skills with valid construction safety certification preferred
