Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Engineer specializing in Vendor Assessment to join our supply chain quality team. This role involves conducting comprehensive onsite audits of supplier facilities, manufacturing processes, and quality management systems across multiple countries. The successful candidate will evaluate vendor capabilities against contractual and regulatory requirements, verify production capacity, and ensure supply chain alignment with project quality standards for our diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute onsite vendor audits at supplier manufacturing facilities across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia regions
- Evaluate supplier quality management systems against ISO 9001, API Q1, and client-specific technical requirements
- Assess vendor production capacity, equipment capabilities, and workforce competency through systematic audit protocols
- Prepare detailed vendor audit reports with objective evidence, non-conformity findings, and risk-based recommendations
- Monitor supplier corrective action plans and conduct follow-up verification audits to ensure effective closure
- Maintain a centralized vendor qualification database and contribute to supply chain risk assessment initiatives
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality auditing, vendor assessment, or manufacturing quality engineering
- Certified lead auditor qualification in ISO 9001 with demonstrated experience conducting third-party supplier audits
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, machining, casting, forging, and fabrication techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to conduct audits across diverse cultural environments
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 60% of the time with valid passport and no travel restrictions
