Role Overview
We are seeking an Audit Engineer specialized in Supply Chain to join our quality assurance team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive audits of procurement, logistics, warehousing, and materials management processes to ensure compliance with project quality requirements and organizational policies. This role involves assessing supplier performance, evaluating procurement workflows, and driving continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain for our engineering and construction projects throughout the UAE and MENA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal and supplier audits of procurement processes including vendor qualification, purchasing, and contract management workflows
- Audit logistics and warehousing operations to verify compliance with material handling, storage, and preservation requirements
- Evaluate inventory management systems and traceability processes for critical project materials and equipment
- Identify supply chain risks and non-conformities, preparing detailed audit findings with root cause analysis and improvement recommendations
- Monitor corrective action implementation across supply chain functions and verify effectiveness through follow-up audits
- Collaborate with procurement and project teams to develop standardized supply chain quality procedures and audit checklists
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain auditing, procurement quality, or logistics management within engineering or construction sectors
- Lead auditor certification in ISO 9001 with practical auditing experience across procurement and logistics functions
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes including procurement cycles, inventory management, and international logistics Incoterms
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills with proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain management software
- Professional certification in supply chain management (CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent) is highly desirable
